Summer Wrestling
We will contine our off-season program June 10th and have practices each Wednesday from 6-7:30 pm through July 29th. If you need any information please contact Coach Barker at MVWC@comcast.net.
There is no fees for this program and no tournament schedule. It is simply just getting in some more practice time on the mat.
There are a number of free wrestling camps in the area that you might want to check out. They have a very good reputation and best of all they are FREE. Check out the site below for more information.

Former Mat Kat Takes 2nd at the 2008-2009 High School State Championships
Kohlman Scribner of Mountain View high School recently placed 2nd at the Colorado State High School Championships. Scribner is only a Junior and will return next year for another run at the title. Kohlman was recently chosen to wrestle for Team Colorado at the Brute Scholastic Showcase held in York, PA April 16-19. Kolhman's last year as a Mat Kat was 2006.
Six Mat Kats Bring Home Championship Hardware
Saturday February 7th was the scene for the Metro League Championships held at the Island Grove Event Center in Greeley. Six Mat Kats came home with honors. Malachi Contreras and Braden Barker brought home the gold by winning the their brackets. Sean Seibrandt finished in second place, Drake Engleking placed Third and Jacob Sanchez and Erik Contreras each placed Sixth. Placing at this prestigious tournament is quite an accomplishment! There are over 1,200 wrestlers in the Metro League and to place in the top six takes a lot of skill and determination. In what looked to be the toughest league championship in many years, all of the MVWC grapplers made their parents, coaches and organization very proud! Each one of the boys and girls wrestled their hearts out and we look forward to having them all return next year!Mat Kats Rock!!
